CONVERTED STORY: JOSHUA EVANS

Assalammu Alaikum, Wr. Wb.

It is Ramadhan, alhamdullilah; the most coveted month in each year by Muslim around the world, including me. This Ramadhan become really special because I have so much to rejoice and celebrate in my journey to Allah, alhamdullilah, and have this Ramadhan with this certain feeling really uplifting my happiness. I think the best thing about loving Allah is there is nothing too hard to do if it is about worshipping Him and the joy of it really turning into the light in my heart and made it become lighter, alhamdullilah. I hope many Muslim Brothers and Sisters can feel that too, insha Allah.

Converted stories always able to touch my heart deeply, mostly if the converted one is someone whose born in western world where God had different name and different description. How they able to found Allah while many born Muslim failed to do so, really amazed me. For me, it is the proof of the greatness of Allah, SWT which able to reach the heart of anyone He wanted to, even in the most impossible way, because there is nothing impossible for Allah.

I did listed about converted stories Hub in my other Hub: " WHY I CHOOSE TO BECOME MUSLIM? " as something I want to write in my next Hub but not yet published any of it until today, because I want to chose the best stories to share with you all. Finally, after searching for so long, I found one from many best stories I ever heard which really touched me and deserve to become the first one to share.

This is my first Converted Story Hub and more will come, insha Allah. The goal of this Hub is to introduce Islam from the converted eyes, and of course to uplifting our love to Islam by simply witnessing the greatness of Allah The Almighty.

I dedicated this Hub to :

1. Mr. Story Teller ; ou r converted brother who already showed me how living the life as converted in western world is;

2. To all converted brothers and sisters from around the world . You are not alone, my fellow Muslim, and we are so lucky to have you all as our brothers and sisters, alhamdullilah.

3. And of course to Mr. Joshua Evans for his beautiful story to inspired us all. JazzakAllahu Khair, Brother for all of your effort. Insha Allah, Allah will give His blessing in all you do, ameen.

Raised in Greenville, S.C. with a very strict Methodist upbringing, Joshua (Yusha) Evans, a father of 3 children, have great desire to found the truth about God in his teenage time. This former youth minister learned about bible and spoken up many questions about it in the way other never brought before and as the caused; started his journey to find the true Religion and the perfect Book of God by reading all books he able to found before in the end, he finally found Islam and converted himself. Since that time Joshua Evans started his da'wah project and always encouraging others to do the same.

The most interesting topic that brought my attention in his story is how as someone who already read as many books of religion as he could able to got in his hands, Mr. Evans already rejected Islam since the first time he heard about this religion from some xenophobic book. He decided he already knew all only by read this one book without considered about the possibility on how this book could be wrong and misguided. This is made me thinking; if this behavior is common between western people; thought that they already knew everything only by reading or accepting minimum information like that, there is no wonder why many western became so misunderstood about Islam and this is really sad because as people who claimed as those who standing in the front of the line of technology and education, they really beat up by small amount of misguided information because they too easy to believe on something other told them without any will to try to understand about it by themselves. Too bad and too sad to think this way, but funny too, ironically. This is why I am agree with Mr. Evans that all of us have responsibility to spread the words of Islam to those whose not lucky enough to born as Muslim or knew about Islam in all of their life (even sometimes I feel it kind of tiring work too, knowing by experience about how hard it is to make others understand about something they already put so many suspicious about. If you don't believe me just check on Religion and Philosophy Forum. Sooooo... Hhhhhh!) But Insha Allah, Allah will help us all.

Anyway, it is a blessing for Mr. Evans and also for us because finally Mr. Evans able to found his path to Islam and because of that we can have another great inspiring motivator and preacher who's will only bring good for us all, insha Allah.
